In Germany you can often find abandoned objects around the house and on the roadside. Especially on “Sperrmüll Tag”(a day designated for the disposal of bulky waste),I come across piles of discarded items in certain areas, which give off an impression of being an installation art of sorts due to their structure and arrangement.
These objects, which have been discarded because they are no longer useful, acquire a "site-specific" context through my intervention and transform into objects meant to be observed. However, due to the nature of these objects, my intervention is highly temporary. They can be knocked down by someone, picked up by others, or the colors and structures I reconstruct may not withstand the weather for long.Similar to graffiti, my actions are swift and usually carried out during unoccupied hours, constituting an intrusion into a space or place.
Through this body of work, my intention is to temporarily bestow a new artistic status upon these found objects.
